I'm looking for 1" thick black foam. 4.75" x 8".
Re: ***The World's Smallest Traveling Engine*** SIGN UP!
I have several white and maybe a light blue, I can check tomorrow. I know I don't have black. I've been saving it for a project, but I would be happy to send it if you can use other colors. I think it's 1" EPP foam, its at my office.

dckrsn currently has it. He is one of the approved maintenance guys. Basically needed to check the piston socket fit and to make sure everything is still in perfect running order.
The paperwork for the .010 is complete. Still working on the foam for the case. I had a piece that I found in some packaging but screwed it up carving it out to fit the engine.
Will you (Admin) then advise the participants when and to which account the fee is to be transfered? Can one use Paypal to pay?
Thanks.

I'll keep this in mind, I know of a few shops around here that have white and green foam. If I can't come across anything soon, I'll just go get the green foam.
Mix it up. Green and White

Jacob,
I have the elusive 1" thick grey foam. About a 24"x24" sheet. It's open cell. I can send it out your way this week.

It's just right around the corner! I'm going to be sending it to Jason sometime this next week.
Yep, Sign Me Up!
GUS THE I.A. would like to make history with this Traveling Engine, also!
I've been lost in a project for a member of another club, and that has consumed me, lately.
Please give me a holler when I need to put my address, and the $5.00 together, and I'll have some fun things to do with the engine.
Thanks for making this one available!

Anybody knows where this engine is ? How can I follow its path? I just want to make sure when my turn with it comes I should be at home.

The World's Smallest Traveling Engine .010 is still sitting right here. I've been hoping to get out and get some pictures before I get it started. There is one place that I wanted to take it, but it may be hard to pull off this weekend with it being Memorial Day weekend. Although it would be really cool to take it there (you'll find out where) with all the Memorial Day stuff going.
Re: ***The World's Smallest Traveling Engine*** SIGN UP!
Admin, sorry for being pushy...is there any time-plan in place to kick this project off?

You're not being pushy. I'm surprised I haven't gotten any complaint letters yet LOL. I've had one thing after another come up so I haven't been able to get it sent out. I was originally planning on taking it out to Fort Snelling (a US military fort and national cemetery built in the 1820s) for a few pictures. Its not that far away, just couldn't find the time to go out and do it. My grandma (who I lived with and took care of) passed away from cancer, so I'll now have more time to get things done. I just got back in contact with Jason to make sure he's ready to get it when I send it. He still needs to put foam in the case. I'm going to get it sent off very soon, if not tomorrow or Friday. I want to get it out before the summer gets away. I know people are anxious to get it.
Just hang in there!
Model airplanes tee dee 010 powered
Hi guys, I rebuilt one small jewell TD.010 and test my smalls model airplanes.
This personal glider finally climb good with the World´s smallest COX.
Here the TD010 don´t pull enough ...
... and change to PW020
Today finally TD010 has enought power to climb to the blue sky.
Span 54 " and 10 oz flying weight is too bog for tee dee .010 but is a good glider design with a good glide ratio.
Now I will prepare the Flipper biplan.

.........
Thanks, Jose, a good idea...in fact there are not too many Ready to Fly (RF) or Almost ready to Fly (ARF) balsa planes sold today for the COX010 category, but the foam planes still sold by hobbyshops may qualify for it. (The only concern is the castor oil contained in the exhasut gas, interacting with the foam plane.)
Where did you get your engine pod from? did it come together with the foam plane, originally intended for an electrc motor?
regards: András.

Re: ***The World's Smallest Traveling Engine*** SIGN UP!
Hi Anfrás Balogh, the pod is also home made, it is a thin fiber glass sheet with two balsa blocks glued beside and a round ply former gliue at front, after all with monocote covered.
About foam rtf kits, I don´t know? could you put the link?
There are many plans for td.010.
And I think is easy to make a model airplane design, depron or ligh foam can be use for stab and wing to keep low weight and you can use balse fuse good varnish fuel proof and paint.
Ok?

I love it! I'm a glider guy mostly. So I really love that little glider. What is the wing span? Great job.

Thanks Eric and Duke, span is 54 inches.
I made this glider in 1988
Golondrino means swallow, I inspired in this bird to design.

Re: ***The World's Smallest Traveling Engine*** SIGN UP!
My interest is..Who is sending it to me...WHO am I sending it to
Or OR OR----When can I reasonably expect it to be sent?
Truth is I lost the "religion" on this "round the world" engine project..
Only, because I realize "where I am" is of no true interest to OUR group--- relative to the MUCHO cool places the Traveling prop visited
How can a 1823 Lampasas Court yard square compare to Nashville and ELVIS fer Christ's sake.. sheesh...Git Er Done!!!
OK OK...enough blubbering about my back water locality...
Just send the danged thing around the world ALREADY!!!!!

Fred, if you think CEF members consider your location in Texas a back-water locality, how will my location, Budapest, Hungary, qualify in their eyes, located behind the former Iron Curtain?
