Engine MP-JET .061 & Norvel .074...maybe something else too!
Once I made contact with the MVVS engine manufacturer in the Czech Republic and they gave me an exemplary service, from there, I learned much more about that place on earth.
This time it is about another engine from those parts of the planet, but from the MP Jet brand, so I want to share it here since I have not seen many videos that show the MP Jet .061 R/C engine in flight.
It is an engine with excellent performance and admirable power.
In the video it is a very windy day, but the engine defended itself perfectly.
I hope you like the video. Thank you !!

Another gem from Mauricio!
You must have marvelous eyesight, I kept losing it in the clouds. Got a grin from the applause and thumbs up at the end. Great sounding little engine.

Thank you all for watching the video and commenting on your opinions.
Ohhh the view !! ... I can still see quite well but with the help of glasses. I've already lost part of my vision, but I can still make out the fast turns in the distance ... just in case if you come to visit me one day, wear a helmet! haha...
Friends, a pleasure to share here with you.
As soon as I can, I will start working on a project for this engine.
Please, take care of everything you can, here in my city, the Covid is already reaching many people ... I hope to stay in these conditions, but without social gatherings and with all the safety elements at work. Still, the risks are present.

Well friends, I think the engine deserves a better day, and today the opportunity was given.
Take an hour and I wanted to film the flight with this clear sky, the wind does not interfere with the sound of the engine, so I hope that now you can see the model better and hear the engine all the time.

What experience do you have with .074 Norvel?
I was looking at the performance of the MP-JET .061 r / c and wondering if it is comparable to Norvel's .074 r / c?

Re: Engine MP-JET .061 & Norvel .074...maybe something else too!
If anyone on the forum has measurements and experience with the Norvel .074, I'd like to know what they think.
If you have any video, even better.
It is a very light engine, low weight from what I can see beforehand, and apparently very powerful, but I have no experience with the Norvel .074.

Re: Engine MP-JET .061 & Norvel .074...maybe something else too!
Here is a video of one from Combatpigg. He seems to have quit flying recently. Mine is barely broken in, and really does not start well in cold weather. The sleeve seems to shrink down on the piston making it hard to start. Once running it is nice handling overall and is fine in the summer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq9vd5ja-gw

The Norvel .074 is the low weight king of the no bearing type small engines up to .074 displacement.
The SH .07 has shined thru conversion to aero use on a pipe performance is excellent.
Norvel .074

Heli V7 engine
Norvel Vmax7 Heli Engine 20,510 rpm / MA 5.5x4.5
Litemachines final upgraded engine for their Heli.
New old stock inspected and signed, dated 11/04/02
20,510 best peak / 17.8oz thrust /.255hp / 190.23w / 87.3 mph
25% nitro / 20% oil / Standard plug and head 5 ports Revlite
Norvel .074 / Kamtechnik Turbo Plug Test / Enya .09 RC carb.
APC 6x4 / 19,864 rpm / 23.3oz thrust / .292hp - 214w / 75.2 mph pitch speed
+ 1,211 rpm
Vs
Norvel Turbo Plug / APC 6x4

Haha, yes, been there done that...
It took me about one season before the Norvel .074 would free up enough to not need any preheating of the cylinder in the typical weather we have here.
Once broken in they are indeed great engines with an impressive power to weight ratio. Here is one of my old videos of the Norvel .074 engine, inverted and fully cowled in a Super Chipmunk:

Norvel .049 thru .061
https://kamtechnik.com/product/ktk-11/
The Norvel .074 is a prototype at this time
and the Cox .074 thru .09
All tested with posted vids, I encouraged Greg
to run a batch of both / not happened yet.

AME Norvel .061 / APC 4.2 x 4 / 23,255 rpm / 88 mph PS
7.5oz thrust / .112 hp - 84w good considering prop dia.
1st. gen muffler with pressure tap idle was down in 6k
Valentine .020 bullet spinner tapped to 4mm
Kamtechnik Turbo Plug adapter, O.S. P4 plug.
Gasket added between muffler for better seal
Exhaust noise was reasonable on the ears
25% nitro 20% castor / left a bit rich new old stock.
Prior tested to 22,690 plain thick paper gasket no pressure tap.
With pressure + 565 rpm and quality gasket making material.

Yes many vids see below GM -.030
G Mark .030 / Cox 4.5x2 prop / OS RP6 Turbo Plug / Aluminum Radial Mount
Peak 21,237 rpm / .056hp - 42w /8.5oz thrust / 40.2 mph pitch speed
25% Nitro / 20% castor oil
G-Mark .030 / Turbo Plug
APC 4.2x2 @ 24,547 / 47 mph prop pitch speed / 8.5oz thrust.
.066hp - 49.24W / could not read idle it was under 7k as the
low end setting on the rpm gauge was set at 7k good engine!
25% nitro 20% oil recommend 23% all castor with the GMark.
OS RP4 plug / RPM Gauge app was reset read 5,329 rpm idle.
