Norvel Engines Some Used but Mostly NIB, and Parts!
I have NIB .049's and .061's. Some are Big Mig's some are not. I also have 3 brand new .15 ball bearing engines in original box and 1 40 also NIB.
And parts... I simply do not have the energy to even go into the parts I have, it would be much easier for you to tell me what you need. But to give you an idea, I have glow plugs, glow plug adapters, back plates, gaskets, connecting rods, crank cases, crank shafts, carbs, venturis, prop shafts, prop nuts, drive washers, thrust washers, mufflers, muffler clamp wire thingies and on and on and on. Here are a few pictures:
Let me know if you see anything of interest, I am a reasonable guy and desperately need this to go bye bye....well most of it anyway, let's not be too hasty. Lol
asking $45 for a NIB .049 CL
asking $60 for a NIB .061 CL
add $10 to price for an RC Version of the same.
asking $90 each for the NIB .15 BB's.
asking $110 for the NIB .40
I also have various used models of these same engines also in very nice condition so don't hesitate to ask for availability.
If you don't see it, ask me about it, I simply have too much to list.
a flat $7 will be charged for shipping to anywhere in the continental US unless you purchase multiple engines, then I will pay shipping. Sorry NO international shipping...unless you ask REALLY politely. : )
as for parts...PM me.
Thanks for looking,
Scotty68
ps. I am always open to offers, especially if purchasing multiples. What I am NOT open to are low ballers.

Re: Norvel Engines Some Used but Mostly NIB, and Parts!
I am in need of a head for a .15, the pin wrench and a CL venturi and needle for the same.
My .15 was set up for speed on bladder so there is no needle and the venturi is opened way up.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Norvel Engines Some Used but Mostly NIB, and Parts!
Ron, I know for a fact that I have a wrench for you and probably the head but just to be safe, if you could provide me with part numbers on the items you need other than the wrench that would greatly speed the process up not to mention increase the chance of receiving the correct part. Just FYI, I am possession of a lot of Norvel parts but NOT a lot of Norvel knowledge. So any help you can provide me with would be very...well, helpful. : )Cribbs74 wrote:I am in need of a head for a .15, the pin wrench and a CL venturi and needle for the same.

Paul, I spent most of the afternoon and evening sorting parts. I simply do not have the stomach to look through them tonight but I promise I will look in the morning. If I find one, it is yours, I suspect the odds are better than 50/50 in your favor.

Re: Norvel Engines Some Used but Mostly NIB, and Parts!
Ron, I have located all of the part numbers that you gave me, but the wrench doesn't match up with what you say you needed. Are you sure it isn't 230132 instead? It is the wrench with the 3 posts or pins, the number you gave me is a flat wrench, kind of like the cox style wrenches.Cribbs74 wrote:Scotty,

Hi Scott
I have several of the 061 engines...they all share the same problem.
they get tight at the top...and they dont start.
Any ideas?
How much do you want for the lot? all that stuff?

Re: Norvel Engines Some Used but Mostly NIB, and Parts!
MdPaddler,
Go find the Norvel .074 thread on StuntHanger...roughly in the last 6 weeks. This pinch is normal, and requires bench-running to resolve.
I can tell you I spun my props off as the engines were flipped-over. They need to be run up on a slightly wet 2-cycle...they need heat to bed in right. Really n a prop one size down since you won't be peaking rpms lean. 2-3 minute runs to heat up, then cool down and repeat. Mine got finger-flipping good after many cycles...maybe over an hour of operation. Don't try the electric starter...you can't tell hydrolock from Norvel tight-pinch, and will break something!
These engines are fabulous once broken in. I wish I had a bunch of .061s and .074s, but I really don't have time to build airframes for a stash as big as I want! I have to take my hoarding syndrome.
I am looking forward to my next allotment. I hope.to try a .15, and maybe a .25. I do love my .074s!

I prefer PayPal, but could possibly be convinced to wait for a postal money order if absolutely necessary.

Contacting me
Any one attempting to contact me might want to try doing so by email. I am answering PM's and sending PM's but for some reason they are just sitting in my outbox? Why do I even have an outbox? I don't get it but it is happening. If any one can tell me why this might be happening or a suggestion on how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scotty68

sent box/out box
I am still getting used to this bulletin board myself
but I just learned sent box is for posts or messages on this board.
Out box is for emails sent from this board using the envelope icon below a posters name.

If you are interested in the entire lot you can contact me via my personal email at: SKuhn68@live.com and we can discuss what's all there and maybe come to a deal.
