Testors Galax IV engine
Recently there had been some discussion about mounting Testors "Pipe Bomb" engines and I'd mentioned one of these from the galax IV Hovercraft.

As you will see, it has a rear radial mount which is the same mounting pattern as a Babe Bee. If anyone's interested in giving one of these a shot without having to do all the hard work of figuring out a mounting system, here's your chance.

Dang it, I bid and I won. Thanks ROD. I really needed to add to my eclectic engine collection. Hopefully it'll start and run, otherwise it'll just sit there and look unique.

Congrats! You wanted it more than me. Now you gotta run it at least once, with video.

Well done. Glad someone here got it, and hopefully it can stimulate some discussion.
4 screws and it's mounted, unlike the efforts of some others here to mount & run Pipe Bombs.

Again, for those who may have an interest in engines other than Cox. Should be able to cobble together a couple out of this lot.

Didn't see it, didn't bid - so you got it a couple of bucks cheaper.
Nothing wrong with unique. I have several engines that will never see fuel and are of little value otherwise.
Good deal, I think that it's quite neat.

Re: Testors Galax IV engine
The pipe bomb is the same one's I was buying from Testors years ago. I actually flew one of them. I can't remember what plane I had it on. I had two problems with it. The cylinder kept coming loose, which I fixed, and second, it will eventually loosen on the back plate. The engine will start vibrating on the mount. I epoxied mine and kept going.
Yeah I would love to have the parts lot of the wen macs. It's a shame I have spent to much lately. I have it on my watch list, and if it doesnt go to high I'll grab it. I need crankshafts badly.
