Hi everybody; i have been in the rc hobby for many years and i like to collect old cox cars, planes, boats, and everything cox related; its for me a pleasure to collect then; since i dont buy them for resale or to be used,i actually try to buy them old, dirty and cheap.
I recently purchased a first generation cox shrike, the yellow one with the number 8; well its very dirty and has dust; i will like to know wich product can you recomend that will be safe to clean the plastic parts and everything else including rubber tires on the old cox toys?
Thanks.

Hello Crankbender! I have been carefully using dishwashing soap and or gentle rubbing alcohol and a one and a half inch wide disposable brush to clean My Cox Models. As a Example, the Sandblaster, Jeep, and second generation dune buggy and Baja bug Chassis" are a "nylon" Type plastic that is less sensitive where the "Styrene" Model car plastic is more fragile and obviously eventually deteriorate from the nitro and castor oil. I think that the dish washing soap is the least aggressive and of course You want to stay off any Decals.
