Sometimes you just can't find the words, unusual for me. But out of the blue AKJGardner offered to send me an olive drab Testors Camel like the one we have been discussing. It arrived moments ago with a surprise. Joe included a Cox Ryan ST, a model that I have been desiring for years but never wanted to pay the price of admission.
Both just how I like them, crispy but restorable. You "normal" people can have all the beautiful flyers and shelf queens, give me the guys that need some attention and that can put me to work.
Thanks Joe, I owe ya.

Thanks Kim, I was so busy checking out the rest of it I missed that. I'm going to really enjoy this one. A little wrinkle in the horizontal stab but the pivot points are intact. Usually they are the first to go. Engine post is broken but I'm so used to repairing those that it's old hat. Definately a featured wall hanger when I get it finished.
Thanks and well deserved appreciations go out to Joe. I may have never gotten one otherwise.
The little Testors Camel isn't too shabby either! Almost perfect.

Ah Jim, you really want to put the icing on my chocolate cake....
No it's not throttled, but it does have that neat little molded in backplate unique to the Ryan ST. Loving this thing but it is going to take some time to get to it. I don't want to rush it.
But more big bucket list day yesterday. Chevelle (David) contacted me to see if I might be interested in his Aurora B-25. Some negotiation, some Paypal and this gem is heading it's way to West Virginia.
Not bucket list, but still pretty great. Ran the RX-7 around the yard several times yesterday, each time it ran better. Almost perfect now. And.......the smoke is gone. None, nada. Mickey, leaves, or what-ever is now just vapor.
Also daughters John Deere mower is fixed. Mowed my back lawn with it yesterday. Mark over with a trailer today to deliver.
Unusual day for me. I get about one of these for every 85 years.
