Yes I barely won it. Fleabay taxes were $30. Hopefully That goes to good use.
Might add 10% to my overall collection.

Jason you have my admiration. I thought I was the only collector nut here.. There was a time when I would buy anything Enya. Then I transferred that urge to Cox Mercedes tether cars, now to model locomotives. But I consider it therapy, keeps me busy (they are mostly fix-er-uppers) and my mind occupied. Perhaps you do also.

Looks like a lot of good pieces in there. If you happen to find an unblemished Olympic venturi let me know!

WOW! I just looked at the price. I'm no gambling man, so even seeing what I see in the lot, it would well and truly max out my "Risk-o-meter".

Re: Bucket-O-Cox parts lot
Maybe there's Strato bug parts on the bottom.
20-25 engines should cover the lot cost. I see a few $50 engines so that number will come down to cover the lot cost. The rest is gravy or unusable parts.

Jason,
Once you have cleaned and consolidated your parts into complete engine sets, please feel to market your "spares." I am looking for one complete .,049 Tee Dee intake from needle valve through the screw-in venturi for a test set up on an AP .061.

Re: Bucket-O-Cox parts lot
Looks like you have a really nice assortment of engines and parts there, Jason, congrats. Amazing, includes rarer vintage parts as well as later.
As time passes, anticipate that you will be sharing with us the assorted engines restored to life cleaned up as whole and assembled from the parts of the spoil.

Re: Bucket-O-Cox parts lot
I was watching that one. I'm sure it will be well worth it, probably less than $10 per engine alone. The curiosity is the unfinished components, which makes me wonder how much is good or bad.

Ok. I am missing something. Can someone please tell me what the red anodized part may be, as I am thinking this is what we are referencing? I'm at a loss on it. Thank you.

Re: Bucket-O-Cox parts lot
Looks like it might be an Olympic carb body. It, and the associated venturi are quite sought-after, because the Olympic is a pretty rare engine, and for some reason the aluminium used in the venturi is soft, easily damaged if disassembled, especially if the wrench supplied with the engine is used. The part itself is same as the one in a Sportsman, just anodized red.
I have two Olympics, one with a wrench-damaged venturi, another with a weird partial fade in the red parts. Also one NIB carb body but no venturi or NVA.

That's a nice Mercedes .049 with the hard to find muffler, tank and needle valve.
