Nice find at a toy show today!
I went to a toy show today and I bought 4 Cox .049 engines and a .020 wrench and a .049 wrench all for $30.00.
One engine has the red postage stamp back plate and prop and a red spinner. The 2nd engine has a white postage stamp back plate and a 3 blade prop and a mesh screen around the cylinder ports. The 3rd engine is a standard .049 Bee with black plastic back plate behind the fuel tank. The 4th engine is a pull start car or boat engine and I will need to fix the pull start as the pawls do not catch to turn the motor over.I also bought another GT40 tether car in rough shape.Engine and chassis cleaned up well. The body needs a lot of help! All in all a good day at the toy show.

Re: Nice find at a toy show today!
There's something about finding Cox model anything.... while out and about shopping at flea-markets.. whatever. The red "postage-stamp" backplate .049 product-engine would have had a fine-threaded (128p) needle-valve assembly.. which is well-worth holding onto. The finer-thread needle valves are superior for pressure-bladder use. The needle-valve assembly (NVA) can be pressed-out of the plastic backplate if need be.. and retro-fitted to a different engine.
