Prototype Pee Wee or ?????
Picked up this Pee Wee on RC Groups last week and got it today. It has a strange crankcase and the tank has a reed holder like a space bug Jr. In Dans book the tank is listed under concept engines. Date in the book is from the early 60's timeframe. I do not see the crankcase type anywhere in Dan's engine handbook. Wondering if this is a prototype Pee Wee or a car/boat engine that is not listed in Dan's book.

Re: Prototype Pee Wee or ?????
Had to be from the factory as the flange on the nose of the crankcase is larger in dia than the normal crankcase. Had to have been cut from a blank from the start.
Also took it apart further and the crank shaft is a larger dia than a standard pee wee. Must have been a car engine but from what? I will check the old service manuals I have.

Picture of the large crank and crankcase vs a standard one.
I bet this would make a great diesel conversion!

This is cool!
Could it be for that Pontiac GTO .020 car?

Re: Prototype Pee Wee or ?????
Most likely that's it. The tank with the wierd reed holder threw me off thinking it was a prototype.

Wow thats a beefy crank as mentioned should make a nice diesel conversion, your crank pin would become your weakest link.
