Cox Engine of The Month
Another train show find

Another train show find
I went to a train show with my Dad on Saturday and was browsing through the vendor tables when I came across one that had a bunch of model airplanes out for sale. Mixed in with the model planes was one gas powered one. It was a Wen Mac Bonanza. It's prop is broken and repaired, the engine is locked up and the tail piece where the bell crank wire attaches to is broken off. It's in really nice shape and makes a great display piece. Even better was the price-ONLY $1.00!! Is there a source for the broken piece of the v shaped elevator or do any of the members have such a part for this plane for sale? It would look even better if a repair to this damaged area could be done. Thanks for any repair help and parts sources.

Train show find
I found the elevator part needed to make the plane look more complete on Ebay just a short while ago. It's a cool looking plane and will be a nice addition to the others in the collection.

Welcome to a small group of people here, New222, Kim, and me that enjoy restoring other peoples cast-offs. It's an acquired taste that has it's rewards.
One dollar, wow! Good buy for that model. Clean the engine and restore it to flying condition even though you may never fly it.
Post pictures, and good luck.
