Hi All,
I am a decades old fan of NPR's Austin City Limits. (radio not video)
If you like guitars making humans play them,
Or, humans having fun with them,
Check out Allman Brothers live at Austin City Limits:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mtbq9HhiRlc&t=9s
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Hi All,
I found a Buster Keyton film on youtube.
He crosses Canada.
All done when Cox was in its heyday.
(35mm film !)
National Film Board of Canada:
-check out the music score. (no words ! )
-I cannot count the # of instruments used...
Enjoy !

Hi All,
It was very gusty winds today,
Stressed me out, and needed to relax/gentle my mind.
Found the song in my head:
Glenn Campbell, with banjo and mandolin...
Lyrics are cool too:

Hi getback,
~1968 here, the black and white TV would come back on at 6AM.
Saturday mornings were the time to watch cartoons.
Clutch Cargo is one I remember....
Fun Fact:
The Hanna/Barberra cartoons were the best.
I liked Bill Hanna plans/articles from the model airplane magazines.
Turns out,
It was the same guy !
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Hi getback,
That is the test pattern !
By 9AM Saturdays, we were kicked out, to go outside and have fun...
Even the girls liked the Hobby Shop.
Bannana seat, Mustang bikes ruled.
Before we were 11yrs old...
Time flies too...

Great tune. For some reason, Max Webster gets almost no airtime on radio stations here in the US. Battle Scar gets played on one Album Rock station once in a great while.
Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
Hi Admin,
I have been playing with Dad's old Radio Shack radio.
The 5W speaker and amp are still good !
Found a 70s/80s station. (FM 102.9 Hamilton, Ontario)
Back then, there was a 'Canadian Content' rule, perhaps still in effect.
(90% of what we heard was American/British)
Lots of great songs/artists...
Here is a song from Max Webster's first album,
And yes,
This is the same group that did Battle Scar with Rush:

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
Hi roddie,
That 'Peanuts' song is my 'ear worm' song now !
I got to wonder why...
Then it hit me.
1970s. The older sister of our 1/2A Cox gang got this 45rpm record.
(She went to Woodstock too ! )
We were all 'addled out' on Amberoid and Buterate Dope.
Waiting for it to dry, for the next day...
We never figured out, 25or6,2,4....
The Hobby Shop guy suggested we buy the Cox25%Nitro fuel.
The original Chicago song is great.
I somehow found this early 70s version:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uAUoz7jimg&t=1s
Now,
I want to run a Black Widow/Golden Bee tank out...
To that guitar solo...
On my 'Bucket List'...
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Hi All,
Lots of hot/humid weather, just west of Toronto, Canada.
It is getting rare, for cool NW winds...
Gordon Peterson, from Dundas, Ontario,
Penned this song in 1989.
(others have covered it )
It is my 'global, It is too hot!', song....
I am looking for a Mandolin version...
And cooler weather..
Big Bad Sun,

Levent, I like the lambata beat. The words flow well from a woman's lips. I sense it would not be as effective if a man attempted to sing this. @MauricioB sabría más. Mauricio would know more.

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
Just thinking now, I hope that Levent didn't perceive my reply was directed toward him, but rather my off the cuff perceptions listening to the music, more like one would speak in a music forum.
I love to both perform music and sing, and as such approach topics a little differently.
Regarding Spanish, recently I was listening to a golden oldie, that we'd used to sing in Spanish language class in high school back in the very early 1970's, Cuando Calienta el Sol (aquí en la playa) - When the sun warms the beach here.
1987 - El cantante (singer) Luis Miguel done to a then modern '80s disco beat.
Yeah, I know on that set somewhere is the singer.
But the one I remember in high school was the 1962 version by Hermanos Rigual (Rigual brothers)
Being that there was no Internet then, it was not unusual that one could still buy an LP or 45 RPM record of this in a records store. Records were still big, 8 track tapes were available, cassettes were just starting to make their debut. I'd go to a music store in the Kaimuki downtown district in Honolulu then, pick out a record. One could also join a record of the month club (but you had to buy a minimum of a record a month. If you didn't, they'd ship you one and bill you until you opted out. I only did this once for several months in 1973.)
However, a most recent catch was a 1962 golden oldie by Helen Shapiro, Look Who It Is
I got a kick out of Helen's facial expressions as she is singing to them. The young men she is entertaining on the set are none other than the Beatles, before they made it big.
