This is for George Hostler.. "Candy Dulfer's" sax-solo starts at about 8:50 in.. and her drummer is definitely earning his pay..

Laura Cox from nearby Paris. She's got the name, the looks and the music

She started with guitar tutorials on Youtube in 2008 and has created her own band.

Perhaps not the genre I listen the most but I do like this hippie chick.

I wouldn't mind car-pooling with them either

Thanks, Roddie. She's one of my favourite sax artists, a Nederlander. Her husband is in the business also. She is best known for her playing Lily Was Here with Dave Stewart done a few years back.
Another favourite of mine is on the other side of the globe, none other than Ms. Kaori Kobayashi of Japan. Here she is playing with an all girl band, Nothing Gonna Change My Love for You.
Here's one from what I believe may be from Thailand, with two talented young females on alto and tenor sax, doing a very tasteful jazz rendition of easy listening music, called Love Never Felt So Good. Does a really nice job on the solos.

Nice. Here's a nice remake of a song I heard in high school by Tommy James and the Shondells done not long ago.

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
I love these threads but--- not lately........no really! very fun and distracting
Spring is here and I have a LOT of yard and house work chores to catch up with along with my determined effort to go FLY more
I am a big fan of most every artist added so far -----and a super in love with Candy Dulfer : had never seen either vid and dearly loved both of them.
..but that put me onto a 3 hour YouTube excursion with Candy and Chris Isak
and who on earth did not, or can not, just drool over Joan Jett
makes my childhood Kate Jackson, Susan Dey, Cybill Shepherd*, Raquel Welch, fantasies pale
The Last Picture Show was when I fist ever saw a fully naked goddess on screen....

Not a Joan Jett fan...
I am however a fan of real talent. This is from Woodstock, it's hard to sound good live, let alone in the midst of all that squalor. I'll preface this video by saying "your welcome"

I posted the videos that I did, because these are examples of people who are very talented. There was not any inappropriate dressing, and I think not we should look down upon people just because they are female and some with a pretty face at that. What I've found regarding musical instrument playing and singing, there is no difference between male and female. Both genders can play a "mean" instrument riff. At least that was not my intention.
However, if the moderators consider that I've towed the line, then please delete my posts considered offensive or let me know and I will delete content.

George,
You read too far into it. I was merely poking with Rene about his comment concerning English translations, if posts are in a foreign language outside of our native English.
Your posts were in perfectly good taste my friend. Let's carry on with this thread, I enjoy seeing what taste our members have in music.

This is way outside the box for most people.. but being a musician, I can really appreciate the talent that these two guys have.

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
Well, since this came back up, I’ll throw on some that I watch quite frequently on YouTube
I love this one because back before I met my wife, I did a lot of business on the dance floor to this song…
A highly underappreciated song. This one I love because, well… Because.
And, who doesn’t love a little Sniff ‘n The Tears? I love to crank this one up when I hammer it in the ‘Vette, too.
I little more recent vintage, but still one I watch a lot. I guess three redneck buds driving around in a Camaro reminds me of my childhood in Alabama:
And one I ran across years ago, but still have to watch regularly just for the genius of it. Funny thing is, this guy looks just like my brother:
