Cox Engine of The Month
Dieselised Dooling
Dieselised Dooling
This is a half scale replica (not quite!) of a .29 ci Dooling.
If you haven't realised - that results in a .038 ci (0.63 cc) - approximately.
Courtesy of Arne Hende.

Fleabay is a strange medium. In March one of these went for $400 and last week $155!! They were both UK sellers selling wordwide. (GBP 250 and GBP 97)

Re: Dieselised Dooling
eBay prices are all over the place, I have done well scanning for under priced or poorly described items, or maybe lots that can be broken up and resold.
This hobby has paid for itself for a few years now, but with the tether cars I'm out of my league.

Re: Dieselised Dooling
These small Dooling replicas (as well as many other engines) were produced by Arne Hinde. Mr. Hinde is deceased so these engines will probably not be available again. BTW, they DO run and are works of art. And, unfortunately I do not have any. :-(

Although I agree with the description "Works of Art", I prefer the term "Men's jewelry!"
