Hi Guy's what methods do you use for cleaning your models after running them?

so far I been spraying rubbing alcohol swabbing with a brush and wiping the rest clean with a rag ....well that's for cox cars but still would like see how you guy's remove the oily mess.

run electrics?

Windex or like window cleaner, used to add rubbing alcohol to it, but it didn't seem to help much.

Pure sulfuric acid abd a belt sander...NOT! Windex like Mark said works great.

I use denatured alcohol soaked liberally on a soft T-shirt rag. For hard to reach areas like around the engine and behind the tank I wrap the rag around a pointed bamboo skewer. It still looks filmy after it dries, so that's when I dry wipe it. I like to use the inside of sweatsuit material for that. I've used Windex too but it still leaves it looking filmy so I dry wipe it. If there's dirt or goo in the nooks and crannies on the engine, I'll cover the venturi and carefully hit it with brake parts cleaner. If I do that I quickly oil the driveplate and finish with after run oil down the venturi. On Tee Dees, I remove the venturi and NVA and blow BP cleaner through the sprinkler holes. If I get really industrious I'll remove the needle(counting the turns) and blow out the NV, but I usually just leave it alone so the needle stays set for cranking. Us bladder users generally never change the needle setting between outings, so it cranks on the first flip next time out.

Dry rag.  Sometimes windex if they are getting bad.

I'll second the dry rag. I fly enough that it's a waste of time to make them look really pretty. I do it more to protect the decals than anything else.
