Beat to the punch,,again!!
Page 67 of the new Model Aviation magazine has a story of a air boat with a brushless motor on it. I just did this about 3-4 weeks ago,, using the EXACT same motor and speed control using a Lil Swamp buggy airboat by Dumas. Never had any clue as to the story coming out in that magazine or seen anything like that idea anywhere else. I just had the parts and pieces down in the shop and decided it would be cool to merge the two.
Pic in the Gallery of mine. Pic was taken at a later date after I had completed it.
Not the first time someone has scooped that type of idea,,that I thought was my original,,lol.
Precognition??

Yup, there are two "Alligator Tours" airboats; the larger powered by a Supertigre and the other is EP. Since I only recently completed my Dumas "Lil Swap Buggy" w/ throttled Surestart .049 I "passed" on the former.
The "Lil' Swamp Buggy" works great for herding ducks around at our son's lake place.

I recently viewed a video of 2 swamp buggy/boats noodling around in a small pond. They were running surestarts... looked like great fun. Are plans available anywhere for that sort of vehicle??
