Re: .010 parts
Chances of finding a cylinder/piston set is extremely small. Even if you did, it would probably cost around $40.
Mecoa has Fuel tanks and backplates ~ https://shop.mecoa.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=36
It would be much cheaper and easier to buy a complete used one.

Re: .010 parts
We will be listing a bunch of .010 engines that have been refurbished on our website in the next few days.
If your looking for something cheap to fly I do have an .010 WITHOUT the fuel tank (has the backplate, so you will need an external tank). It is the later black version, a little rough around the edges. I am planning on asking $40 on it.

A few pics. As you can see, the glow head is rough, and no attached tank....thus the low price.

Re: .010 parts
Mitch,
You got an excellent deal there. I have paid much more for less than stellar .010's Than that one.
Matt when you list the .010 stuff please let me know. My Paypal is depleted but my personal account isn't. A .010 cylinder set is worth a tongue lashing from my wife.....

Most of the 010 things will be engines, which 4 will be listed. The only exceptions will be a new tank kit, refurbished crankcase assembly, backplate/mount, and possibly a few other bits.

Re: .010 parts
I may have a red 010 tank that has a broken fuel nipple. You can have it if you want it. Drill it out and JB weld in a small piece of K&S tubing and you have a tank for it. I'll check my tank stach when I'm back in town. Most of my tanks have severe tank rot

Re: .010 parts
Yep, a bit of a one-off engine.
We have 4 .010 engines that will be up on our site tomorrow/Monday. They are going to be refurbished ones with new tank assemblies and advertised for around $99.95.
I will make a formal announcement about those and other parts once everything is up and accessible.

I couldn't help but notice that is NOT an original .010 glow head
I believe it is a turned down .020 head

The glow head on the engine Mitch bought?
It is an original Cox glow head, just a little rough around the wrench area.

All the .010 heads I have and all the ones I have ever seen have a 'solid' aluminium bit above/on the top fin.
Re: .010 parts
Well, if it is not, whoever modified it fooled me. I sure as heck wouldn't go through the trouble of turning down the head, modifying the chamber, then having to re-thread the assembly.

Neither, but I am 100% sure it is not an original head but it sure is unique!EXModelEngines wrote:Well, if it is not, whoever modified it fooled me. I sure as heck wouldn't go through the trouble of turning down the head, modifying the chamber, then having to re-thread the assembly.

I am not so sure. While I have not personally found a new in OEM packaging one, I have seen a few that look like this before:

I will have to go through some of my Cox files when I have some time.
