Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
What type of .020 cylinders?
The thin walled?
Thick walled?
Or the "step" type?
Thanks

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
No idea but most likely the newer version. Part #1675 is shown on a 1992 Tee Dee 020 manual.

Okay then they are most likely easy to slip a homemade throttle ring on
Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
Both 020 cylinder/pistons and a good portion of the 010 springs are now sold.
Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
Lol, going fast and only about 1/2 of the 010 springs left. Once in stock they will be priced a buck higher... if there are any left.

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
Wow they are selling as quick as I expected.
Sounds like it would be worth getting some made

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
No, we don't have any plans to make them. The first 50-100 will sell well (pent up demand) and then things will become quiet. Same as the Pee Wee and Tee Dee springs.
Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
Tooling costs and minimum order quantities have crushed many ideas and dreams. I don't blame you for not wanting to sit on inventory for years.

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
We are still sitting on about 950 of the 1,000 Needle valves we made for 010 about 2 years ago.
The 010 spinners are a tough sell.
And don't get me started on the 010 reset tools.
All the above were pitched to us as "will sell like hotcakes because everyone is looking for them". That was before we smartened up and stopped sinking money into 20-year supply of stuff.

Bernie,
Do we need t reserve the #4 cylinders? I noticed Ron Valentine is using them on his Speed Bees and they look good.

There will soon be a few new developments on the 010 parts/mods that perhaps will ncrease the popularity of the TD010

Are the new production #4's going to be a taper grind and stepped at the base?.

Re: Some hard-to-get Cox parts
No.
They are Production Engine cylinders that are being modified by cutting out the bar in the exhaust ports and cutting the bottom of the exhaust ports lower to induce SPI. They will identical inside and out to the #4 cylinder that Estes/Cox used for some of their last Tee Dee engine production runs (they were not tapered).
