Found this on EBay. I resisted with All my might but in the end it got me. Or should I say I got it. Looking to put it into service Any comments on how I should expect it to fly ? Thanks. Mark

A wonderful old plane! Flys like a dump truck, but with a good-running engine and 25' of spiderwire, it WILL turn a circle. Just keep it low on the first flight as, in my experience, they have very little glide/flair once the engine quits, and its long nose gear just loves to make it frog-hop on landing.
Also, if the "training tab" in the bellcrank slot is still in place, it MIGHT be a good idea to remove it for more "Up" elevator throw.
Love these things, and congrats on your purchase!!!

Nice find Mark, and it looks complete and well kept. Most of these have missing cowls and pieces.
Kim and I are probably the only two here on the forum that are advocates of these. I have several in various states of disrepair but only a couple that are as nice as yours. Welcome to the Wen Mac P-39/63 club which now totals three members.

That's great Joe, four members it is. Wen Mac flooded the market with these, I see them everywhere. Seldom is ebay without one for sale. Run a thread on your's. I missed it if you already have.
And Mark, what a clean unmolested example that you have. I would build a clone and fly that.

Ok started working on it a little bit. I did not like the exhaust stubs standing proud on the outside of the fuselage but I don’t see a easy fix for that. But at least I’ll make it better by painting them and drilling out the ends. Looking at dropping a Tee dee in place of the supplied engine. The bolt pattern seems to be somewhat different. We will see
