Cox Engine of The Month
Best thing you've bought/made recently

Best thing you've bought/made recently
I got this from US Tom last week and spent last night tinkering with tiny engines........
If you have any engines you care about, make yourself one of these.
An absolute joy to use, no more slipped wrenches and chewed components.

Not at all difficult to "fab" one for yourself given the inclination and the proper Cox wrench.
Of course missing would the boast that it came from Cox R&D and had been used by Cox lengendaries in Santa Ana, CA.
Somehow my own version suits me perfecty.

Made this removable table last weekend, for testing engines, hobby and gun stuff, a catch all. No measurements per-say, cut and assemble, two heavy coats of Poly with forced air heater drying time. My new bandsaw make quick work of the raised edge pieces.

While I have not yet received it, (photo is of pal Brian's slightly cluttered version for illustrative purposes only), I have on order, one Matco Split-Top Roll Around Tool Center !
Following ANOTHER complete rearrangement of my ever-smaller Skunk Works R&D area, I shall have a tough, portable work table, allowing me to tend to all manner of Bees, Hornets, Cubs, and other such critters.
In the midst of the activities that shall take place upon it's Hallowed Surface, I shall, much like Moses, part the metallic mayhem at my pleasure for retrieval of any needed tool dwelling below it's surface !!!
This comes just in time, as my collection of assorted stickers has reached critical mass...

Too cool when and how did you hear about that all the way in London?

On eBay, my dad got into trumpet and I started browsing eBay for things he may want or need and I some how came up with that!engine049 wrote:Too cool when and how did you hear about that all the way in London?

Yeah I ended up selling multiples to the Atlanta symphony orchestra and a few other orchestras. A boy and his lathe can accomplish many things.

I love when "they" throw down the gauntlet, and someone(you) picks it up and smacks them with it.engine049 wrote:
