Re: Cox chrome chassis
Welcome to one of the best forums on the web alphil...poke around there is a LOT more here than just Cox engines.
Boats, cars, planes, trains, guns, dogs, cats, bears n birds, weather, and all sort of interesting stuff... we strive to be insightful, helpful, and seriously keep any politics to friendly exchanges of thoughts...very well self moderated because we mostly like and appreciate every member.
Our leader Jacob and others have used us to send "Traveling" engines around the world to members who wrote and photographed them in all sorts of places with a smidgen of local sights and history.
Not so much lately but we used to have fun contests such as the Tach Race, where we sent engines to a CONTEST director who ran each on same fuel and prop to see who's engines had highest RPM in each category then sent the engine back to the owner. Winner got a prize, Very fun

Looks Great from here! All factory car chassis were Black. Someone with time and determination must have cleaned these up and had them chrome plated.
Hey.... Welcome to the forum!!
HMMMmm, are they for sale? ?

Re: Cox chrome chassis
Hi Marleysky,Thanks for the reply, seems reasonable. The story goes is that these came out of a shop liquidating their NOS parts. That's why I wondered if they were factory? I have 2 small boxes(plain brown) of Corvette chrome trim that came with these chassis. Also a chrome TD Champion and chrome TD Special, but those are slightly used. All of these things will be listed for sale on eBay @ no reserve per the owner(no outright sales?),a friend who is liquidating part of his collection. Please understand,if only seeking information doesn't sit well with some of you,I can understand and don't mean to offend or upset anyone.Best Regards,PhilMarleysky wrote:Looks Great from here! Re: Cox chrome chassis
Those chrome trim parts are going to be a MOON shot. I found some of the chassis are different lengths. I had a Chaparral body only and picked up a chassis for it that was too long. Maybe the Buick is longer? I never figured it out.
