Fred Von Gortler update.

Hey guys,

Fred hasn’t been able to respond to posts as the baggage handlers on his recent flight busted his laptop screen. He wanted me to pass along that info and also to let everyone know he has decided to check himself into Alcohol Rehab/detox as he has finally had enough of that monkey on his back.

He also wanted to pass along that he loves you guys and will be thinking about you. So let’s do our best to encourage him as he goes through this rough patch and on to new beginnings.

Yeah, we all think of Freddie, I was surprised that he took that trip. I thought he had entered rehab already. No shame in that, my daughter followed the same route and it took. 22 years now and counting.

Ron: I missed this one. Do you know that kind of laptop and how new, I have several screes for Dell laptops, but older models.

Greetings! Rob, you are so on point! I went through the program in 1994, just months before I retired from the USAF.
I like to think of it as my last TDY and I have been Blessed to be able to stay sober since I completed the program some 26 years. Please give Fred my best and let him know that is truly "Mind over Matter". His mind rejecting what must not matter!!

Day seven sober for Fred! I am really impressed, the first week is really rough.

He wanted to let you know he is sticking it out for a full month of detox and counseling.

The commitment was the first step, the counseling seals the deal.
I'm in no way religious, but I've said prayers for Fred.
I guess we're more like a Cox engine family.
