Roddie! ... Thanks for your words, friend!
Mario is an amazing person, I've known him for a few years ... he's a very good-hearted person.

Nice work, Mauricio You are putting that lathe to really useful work!
Could this be a next possible project?

Thank friend you for leaving me your comment !! It is possible that one day I have a project in mind like that, but first I must learn to drive the wheel, know its parts, sharpen the tools very well, know their sound, wrong many times and one day having overcome all that ... then it is possible that I cheered up !!

Great work again my friend , Just asking do you think you should bee using some kind of oil or solvent to help keep work cool when cutting ?? Would help keep tools sharp i would think and rough cuts to a minimum .

Nice work on the backplate! Be careful or you'll find machining more interesting than flying. And definitely don't look at http://www.modelenginenews.org/ , http://www.modelenginemaker.com/ , or www.homemodelenginemachinist.com .
Cutting aluminum dry is no problem, though coolant helps when drilling. Coolant on small lathes is a mess. It will help surface finish, but much of that is dependent on cutting edge quality. Tool life for hobby use is negligible in soft metals. Kerosene or odorless lamp oil are great for aluminum.

Thank you, friend Eric! ... I do believe that I must educate myself and learn a lot to get the most out of each job and, above all, so that each accessory remains in the best possible way. That in addition to the care and maintenance of tools and the own lathe. Just "gkamysz" has just written and placed very interesting links.
A hug Friend!

Hello "gkamysz"! ... I agree with you, it is very tempting to work with the lathe and create pieces, it's nice to take the challenge and try to make it concrete, I feel very well when something in my head I can achieve it!
Thanks for the advice, I will take it! ... also thanks for the links ... I will try to make time to enjoy all this material and inform me !.
A big hug for you.
