An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
How are friends? ... I hope everyone is very well ... I want to share with everyone a gift that I received and that fills my heart with joy.
Some years ago I have a friend who for life's sake, we stopped having contact, work, other horizons, projects, etc., made that, spend some years without having news.
One day I receive an email .... and it was that friend, who again made contact and was very happy for me to know about him.
After a lot of chatting and commenting that I was active and with the Cox engines, I showed him a couple of jobs, those that I do with my bench drill, throttle rings, some back cover part of engines, etc., then a few days passed. .... and in a new talk we had with my friend, he says: go to the terminal station, there is a package for you! I did not know what it was, so when I received the package, I found this wonderful "micro" lathe, incredible, a gift that I can not express in words, everything I feel!
For all this, I want to share my joy with you.
And to Vos Mario Pereyra (my friend) ..... THANK YOU for this HUGE GESTURE, ..... many blessings for you!

Whoohooo Mauricio now you can make more add on parts for your engines. Lucky lad indeed!!
I have thought about buying a lathe too the price varies from what I have reviewed $250 to 650
depending on the features and accessories.

Re: An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
Friends, thank you for your comments, I was sure you would share my joy.
I really want to start working with him, but since I'm doing maintenance of my house (painting and masonry), I'm hoping that all that is finished for, God willing, resume my "normal" life
I will surely be sharing here those objects that start with this lathe ... it will be very nice to work with such precision! ... besides a clear pleasure!
I am sure that many of you with a lathe like this or similar, would make many desired pieces and that are in our mind !!
Thank you all for sharing your experiences that enrich the forum! Thank you for your friendship.
Eric, with Mario we do not fly together, we live a long distance is about 1000 km, about 622 miles away, but we have a lot of respect between us and there is a very good relationship, so I am fortunate to meet PEOPLE well, very good, very healthy from the heart
The same happens here with all of you, that I always say again and again that I would like to know them personally and give them a big hug, because all of you give me a really beautiful friendship ... THANK YOU !!!
Yes Eric, my head has a wick on! hahaha ... but I must wait for the maintenance to be finished in order to order everything again and thus start again with the activity I like so much!

Re: An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
Hello Roddie! ... yes if my friend knows what I like this activity and assures me that he feels happy that I have this beautiful tool. He says that I will put it to good use and I am completely sure that it will be so.
Ron, I will surely share those pieces that I will create with him, it will be a pleasure to share here!
Rusty, I agree with you, many times you take away some disappointments, bitterness and disappointment of some people, but there are also many more people with great hearts who provide, support and feel happy to help "grow" others and that is the great difference of what each person sows and what we sow in each person each of us.
In other years, with other times, I had the good fortune to travel the country, in different aeromodelling meetings, I made many friends, I know a lot of PEOPLE and I can give faith that this world with its problems, still has the human capital of people with many values ....that is great. Thanks to you friend for leaving me your message!

Mauricio! I'm happy for you.
There's a cliche' saying here in the U.S., but it
would fit well here.
"It couldn't happen to a nicer guy".

Oh your going to have so much fun with that!
I can see you cleaning it up to match your beautifully maintained engines, then using it to make all sorts of things related to this hobby.
Congratulations - Bob

Re: An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
Well, now I have a few hours of time, so I started to wash the accessory parts and the lathe, in this way I intend to leave it in a very pleasant way.
Prepare a wooden dabla extra strong and gave him three coats of varnish between sanding each hand, so that it is somewhat respectable.
Also buy a metal box to store the accessories.
Then I started to manufacture a very small fuel tank fisherman, specifically for .020 .030 ... this lathe is very precise, it's a pleasure to work with it!

Re: An Incredibly Wonderful Gift
Hello Mauricio! I was happy to read about your receiving this lathe. This was indeed a wonderful gift. We have few friends as this in our lifetime. He knew that you could/would use this tool to produce the precision-parts needed for your model engines.
