Cox Engine of The Month
A Christmas gift to myself.
A Christmas gift to myself.
Found this as a cheap quick sell on eBay. Couldn't resist. It isn't very old, but it's fairly complete minus the side guns. Even had the optional starter kit.
I took the glow head off to confirm, it's never been ran. I'm pretty excited about it.

Great gifts!
Bought myself a gift too. Bought it back on Black Friday. I like generators , this is the 4th generator now. I have a 6500 watt and 2 1000 watt 2 strokes. The sad thing is... the power rarely goes out around here now, maybe once or twice a year for a maximum of a few hours. Since the 6500 watt is LOUD, the plan was to use one of the little 1000 watts to run one of the refrigerators (whichever has more to loose in it) and a lamp overnight. There was one year when the power went out for a week, of course it was before I had a bunch of generators. We used the boat battery with some 12v bulbs swapped out in lamps and watched a little 5.5" color TV also connected to the 12v battery, only use it at night to conserve energy. We also had to go out and fill some coolers with dry ice to keep the freezer crap cold.
This 3000 watt generator is to my surprise quiet. It should run both refrigerators and a lamp without much trouble.

Yeah, if you don't have a generator yet, I would suggest at least going out and getting one of those little cheap 1000 watt 2 stroke generators.

Is there still fuel in that bottle? My engines used to like that stuff. I don't recall what the nitro/castor percentages were.

I may. Perhaps on a nice day with no wind. I don't want to have to chase the thing down too far. I've see videos of them and they take off and go pretty far. I am a collector so while I do like to run all my models and engines atleast once, this one, having never been ran, is a toss up for me.
