Cleaning tiny parts/orifices

These are handy little micro-brushes for "dental-flossing".. that I've shown before in another thread.. but it made more sense to post them in this thread for ease of searching. This tiny brush has a twisted-wire core to retain the bristles, as a conventional "bore/tube-cleaning" brush would. The wire "itself" measures approximately .021" dia. (.53mm) therefor.. it will easily fit inside the smallest bores that you would encounter with model-engine parts. The effective length of the wire with bristles is .450" (11.5mm). I'm obsessive about measurements..     but they're worth noting.



Here's some photos showing how they can be used on Cox engines; for assuring open-passages in their fuel-systems.








These brushes can be found at most stores, in the Health & Beauty department.. where the dental-care items are stocked.

Those look great. I could certainly see those being useful. Now with that said, while reading this thread, I am kicking myself in the prosterior! I said I would pick up one of those tea balls while on holidays. Well, I did write it down, left the list at home, and now that I am back, I see something I forgot to buy. I had that feeling when I was leaving...... D'oh!

I would think you could find a tea-ball locally Chancey.. unless you live in a very remote area. Even still; you should be able to source one domestically through mail-order.

Oh yeah, they are available here. I just have to get the ambition to go out and remember to buy one...

It’s hardly worth driving to town, when you can have one delivered for Free! Right to your mailbox...
