My Engine Running.
Many of us enjoy seeing and hearing our engines running, so I propose to generate this post among all members of CEF, showing different engines, it could be in a bench or bench, or in the model itself, specifying data of the photo, for example:
.engine brand and type
.rpm
.fuel oil
.type and size of the propeller
.others
your contribution will bring a lot of valuable data to this forum!

Well Shoot, it don't need batteries and it fits in your shirt pocket!! ( pocket protector)
Looks like even the high tech tachs have a +/- variances....yeah about 13k +/- a few hundred.

Re: My Engine Running.
Most folks take cell phones where ever they go more so than a watch these days
the app is very handy. The trick is to set the rpm range close to the actual, since
we can see this engine runs in the 13k range I set the meter to 15k max rpm
by doing so you get finer resolution on the readings, here is the result. The
program has many presets to suit your engine type and rpm up to 50,000 rpm
much better than the 21k vibration gauge all the same it too was awesome sauce
for it's day!
The resolution accuracy is within 60 rpm with a single mic smart phone when the
rpm range is set correctly.

Hey man! I never knew that you tested that muffler I sent you.. and with the pressure-line! When was that? It seemed to feed fuel from that wedge pretty well.. and cool that you moved the mount around to prove it. Was it tough to start initially? It can be tricky; priming the exhaust through those muffler-pipes.. I assume that they were the wide-open pipe-sets? LOvE the speed-contest vid! Man.. that baby was SCREAMIN'!!!!!!!!

engine behavior
beautiful bonnet or cowl, which gives a great look to the model!
Watching the engine running, from minute 0.23, the engine goes on a low let's say, but that's not normal.
Sometimes it has happened to me that when I start a engine with valve of cane that work, put in a march say "rare". This is due to excess fuel, is it due to a problem between the valve retainer and the valve itself? or exactly what happens to make it work that way ??

Re: My Engine Running.
It looks like engine goes too rich and only rocks back and forth, i.e. it never goes through TDC.
I have a few cox engine videos on youtube, guess I'll share one here, the Queen Bee with an RJL diesel head;

Re: My Engine Running.
Not a cox engine but I think this would be nice! Meet my ASP FT160AR four stroke twin cylinder. This is one of it's break-in runs! Prop is a 16x8 APC.

Eric, you're an IDOL! ... even the people who accompany you are surprised at your dominion! ... I like how you fly and I'm surprised by your incredible handling, that model looks like a demon and you always have control, that's why I say: you are a genius friend!

Friend Eric, your flight video is really good, I did not know that you had won, although you were the only participant, you see a very fast and intimidating flight !, let me congratulate you and sorry for not being aware of the news, it costs me enough to be able to follow the threads since I have to use the translator to communicate and I do not always translate everything that is exposed here!
I think that you invite me to participate, right?, Yes, I thank you infinitely, also for wanting to offer me material to be able to assemble a complete model, but I tell you; I made it to my 13 and until the 15 years U / C flight, I always used a Babe Bee .049, the models I made were a Baby Bastormer, a Falcon Hunter, a Bumblebee, a Zero, a P40 and I had a lot of fun with them, I had a single engine and passed it from model to model ... once later my father gave me a Red Devil Racer from Cox and I also vole it for a long time .... then start with the radio control, until today However, a few months ago, my friend Fabian, who was with whom we made U / C of children, offered to fly a U / C again, vole a white PT19 and a Zero of balsa wood, both with engine Babe Bee .049 , what happened to me is that I left a lot, getting to decompile, so I think I can not fly more U / C because of the effect it produces, I do not know if it is a lack of habit, but I do not rectify it.
I regret that I pass that, because I also like the U / C, but now I look at it from the outside and with admiration, MIre friend, I still keep without opening these kits U / C, they are beautiful!
Thanks Eric again !!
These two photos are from the year 1986!
These are two kits that I have original in their boxes
