Hook was the opening act at a Frank Zappa concert that I went to. There was a gang of attendees in front row on floor that trashed him off the stage with rotten produce.

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
I need to preface this vid. My uncle "Vinny" (mom's younger brother) was a model-airplane (U-control) enthusiast and USAF Veteran. When "I" (his young nephew) took an interest in music (piano/organ)... he mentioned this being his favorite song that had an "organ-solo". He's given me most all of his model-airplane bits and pieces.. (engines, partially-built kits.. left-over balsawood... ) all of which are very special to me.

Wow, the Seekers. I grew up with them. All us young Aussie "blokes" were soooo in love with Judith Durham. What a voice, and they're all still going and still making music. They hold a heap of Aussie records for best selling songs and concert attendances etc. They were just HUGE in the 60s. Probably didn't quite crack the American market, but back home and in the UK there were none bigger for a while.

Here in US, I remember the Seekers, but for only 1 song although they had others, it played a lot on the radio, "Georgie Girl".
Saw a recent video on YouTube where Judith, now very advanced in years, is congratulating a movie cast band with a girl who is playing the part of Judith. Also saw the one 10 years prior to now where the Seekers with Judith is doing a nostalgia concert. Enjoyed listening to their other songs I was unaware of, because although they were probably marketed in US, we didn't hear much of when I was in jr. high and high school in Hawaii in the latter 1960s through early 1970s.

They are good, nice rendition of "I Saw Her Stand in Bed".

That's an interesting one, enjoyed how the scenes change from that of typical post WW2 through the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, then the man passes on leaving his wife a widow. It was like from "I Love Lucy" to "Grease" to the hippy era, then children becoming millennials, etc. Sort of an interesting stage portrait of life.
Here's one I just found, a remake of an old one, good rendition:

Darn Fred, those are good, especially the first one. Putting it on my keep list.
I'm thinking - Spaghetti.
The Dutch are good at this, but I guess so are the Danes. That was spectacular.
Andre Rieu knows how to put on a show too. I have several of his albums.
Andras should enjoy this:

This is a good one Eric...I remember I saw the 1978 movie by Milos Forman, a Czech emigrant director, at least 5 times..those days it was a real cult film in Hungary fearuring John Savage, Treat Williams, Beverly D'Angelo and a bunch of excellent dancers..

My dad came back from the 'Nam to his eldest son with long hair after 15 years with a Crew Cut ...Dad imposed and mandated..a high n tight haircut.......Mom was ok in the Hippy bay area to let me explore MY INDIVIDUALITY and longish hair
Dad forced me to get a hair cut...grrrr... I used to play that Cowsills song very loud from my basement room and tick him off a LOT ...I do mean a lot...the 45 was smashed to smithereens by dear old dad
73 Drafted...next 30ish years with Military haircuts...on retirement I vowed to NEVER pay a barber again.... you all have seen the photo....
truth is I now have it way down my back again, and nearing the fourth cut back DONATION to Cancer kids....local only----- Locks Of Love is a rip off...they charge for the wigs...
My local group donates the wigs to kid for free

Re: music vids.. some of your favorites
When you're alone, and life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know
Downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure
Downtown everything's waiting for you
Downtown
Don't hang around and let your problems surround you
There are movie shows
Downtown
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close
Downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You'll be dancing with him too before the night is over
Happy again
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, where all the lights are bright
Downtown, waiting for you tonight
Downtown, you're gonna be alright now
Downtown, downtown
Downtown
Downtown
And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along
So maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, don't wait a minute for
Downtown, everything's waiting for you

I just love this song.
I like the simple, honest version with just the voice and the guitar.
