How do you get that white crap off those plastic TD carb bodys ?? After cleaning and polishing ,some of you know what I am talking about . getback Very Happy

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I think the remedy is removal of the old crappy white one and slip on a new red or black one, or get the super nice red anodized aluminum one$$. I don't really know of a chemical to clean or polish the 'derlin' plastic carb bodies. ......maybe someone else has had better luck or experience.

Isn't the white stuff similar to aluminum oxidation, but of plastic? a breakdown of the plastic outer coating??
  I agree with Marleysky on the fix. R and R. You could try 2000 grit sandpaper, superfine, lol!

I believe you are right and don't know if you could take it down to where its not there?? Yes replacing is the easy way but when selling makes profit go to poof ! For just my own use not so , I had just put a new one on the .020 that didn't make it to Germany Doh! getback
