'Holy Shorts Sherpa Batman!' The plane I would want if I ever went Large Scale
Eating breakfast and mooching WiFi at McDonalds this morning, and came across this video of a fellow test flying a Sherpa look-alike.
A lot more frisky on the first flight than I would have been, and he was lucky to bring it home in one piece as his aileron hinges started to turn loose, but incredibly cool nonetheless.
Just imagine the cool missions this thing could pull off!!!

Okay, what did I learn today??? Check that I glued my hinges prior to a maiden or re-maiden flight. That's pretty amazing that it flew at all, but it flew pretty darn well. And I learned it doesn't have to be remotely pretty to fly well.
Thanks Kim, that was good entertainment.

I was thinking that too! Looked like he wasn't far from just sawing off the panel and making it a 'wingaron' !!!

Flite Test build some cool stuff. Thats the Giant Guinea Pig. You should be able to find some cool videos of the things they did with thta plane. They have built several giant planes, they just did one for Star Wars.

Heck from the look of those small engines compared to the size of the plane I was surprised it flew that well, and the aileron thing was pretty funny !! getback

Neat video. I also liked the end with the aileron as well.
