Thinking Question me this Batman

We are rural and mail order a lot of stuff

Today a Sauder Wardrobe was delivered by UPS the second one cuz first was damaged in shipping

5 inch thick, 2 foot wide  by 6.5 foot long weighing 135 Lbs...Sauder is like Ikea...you build it press wood crap

This was Amazon Prime order for $179 and free shipping (5 to 7 day)

a few years back I got a $599.89 Vizio 65 inch TV in factory box...no outer warping...delivered to front door...actually bought it from Dell as it was cheaper and free shipping

Gotta believe even on sale items MUST have a fairly high markup to include, what we would all agree, is an insane shipping cost

just a curious thought

Lot'sa profit built into this stuff.

I just bought "Secrets of the Six Wives" DVD.  $29.95 from PBS.  $13.95 with free shipping on ebay.

In BIG, Tom Hanks character says to effect.  "Can you believe they make this toy for five bucks?"

With Amazon, it's volume with very little advertising costs.
