This is the prototype MkI.
The crank case was manufactured from bar stock and sand blasted. It is a miniaturised Taplin Twin.

This was followed by a MkII and then a more advanced MkIII. The MkII has a sand blasted crankcase but had a finned cylinder head held down by four miniature screws.
The MKIII crank case of this engine was machined from bar stock. These were produced using steel finned cylinders. The finned aluminum cylinder heads are fastened with 4 miniature screws. Ronald only made 2 of the MkIII engines.
