Ok I sent a PM and ekitten2 can't do anything with the TE for a couple weeks. If I held it for another week to bolt it to the plane I build for it and fly it, then it would take at least a week to get to him (Australia I think). Should I pursue this or move to the next guy on the list?

Sure that's fine. I know with the weather and all it's hard to get out and fly it. Just wanted to hear an update on it.

Thanks Jacob! I really want to get the TE on the Black Hawk Nobler I build, just for the TE. It will be fun to get some flights on it with my boys.

Does anyone have a Cox TE logo, that printable? I'd like to put one on the wing of the Nobler for the photo-op.

I have this.. but I've never tried printing it. I merely copied it from the left margin/ side-bar. Would that work? With a PC.. you just hover the cursor over the pic and "right-click". Choose/click save picture as... from the menu options.. and pick a destination. (Desktop, folder etc.) This method works for most images.

My 1st experience with printing graphics was when I built my CEF Speed model. I used full-sheet matte-clear shipping-labels designed for laser-printing. I finished with several mistings of clear TF LustreKote. There was no "bleeding" that might have occurred with ink-jet printing. They've only seen the oil spray from a couple unsuccessful flight-attempts though, so I can't say how long they'd hold up after a normal season of flying.

I have a sizable (and constantly growing) decal folder. Anytime someone posts a decal pic.. I snag it! It's so easy now to digitally add those tasteful little touches to customize your model!

I don't have a LaserJet printer, I use an ink jet. I always spray mine with some kind of clear coat, like you said light coats. I also have a folder full of stickers, when I put a piece of that sticker paper in the printer, I fill like I need to have it full. So I fill it full of different images for the future.

Well, I finally had a break in work and the weather at the same time. My teenage boys and I ran up to the RC field after work to fly the Traveling Engine. Great way to wrap up a day! We took a few videos and we'll try to edit them and post tomorrow night. Thanks for letting me keep it a little longer. I had a chance to tell the story of the traveling prop and engine, they all loved it.

I'll think about who you can send the engine to next and let you know.

I just talked to my oldest son and he said he'll help me put together a video tomorrow. I still need to print a couple stickers and take a couple pictures of the plane. Then the plane gets hung on the wall.

Just let me know who to contact to ship to.

Any news on the next to get the engine?

I still need to edit video, not as easy as I thought. Anyone have a good/easy editor to use?

Windows Movie Maker is pretty easy to learn and does a nice job. It's supposed to automatically upload to Youtube, but mine won't, so I just open the Tube and upload manually.

Tee Dee I have the Traveling Engine

Post  GWILLIEFOX Fri May 01, 2015 1:55 pm

I got the engine today. I almost took the package back to the post office as I didn't recognize the sender, wasn't expecting any Ebay deliveries, and the paper the address was on said there was medical gas enclosed! But it seemed too light for a gas bottle, so I took a chance and opened it. What a nice package!

I'll take care of my end next week. This is Gunshow weekend.
