Kim:
Or in an aviation context, consider Howard Hughes building the so-named "Spruce Goose". Just THINK what was learned from this an other aviation experiements.
Then there is the Wright Brother's first powered flight in 1903.
The "Impossible Dream" CAN become the next reality.

Agreed !
Also, even the "simpler dreams" eventually come true if you're stubborn enough. The great thing about being my age is that I FINALLY realized that my happiness is MY deal, and if I'm attacked or insulted as I pursue the stuff I love, I can simply eject the attacker from my life, rather than even STARTING to justify the junk I love (like I used to do).
I can mess with my little "Toy" engines and airplanes, shoot my rifles, ride my bike or scooter, fly my plane, or whatever else strikes me at the time...and if someone likes it..."Cool"...if not..."Goodbye!"
This would be the message I'd throw at "Young Kim" if I could go back in time...but at least I got a clue before my show was over !

Well, I'm not much for same-gender hugging and definitely can't sing, but one of these days have GOT to find out about that song !

Dude:
That's great although it is difficult to understand the words beind sung.
The song is designed to elict a warm and cozy feeling within a group often standing around a campfire. I though it appropriate to the situation being discussed here.
(I've got no problem with same sex "group hugs" unless they elevate to the next level of showing affection)

Oh Yeah,
I got the gist of the song, over the years, but somehow never heard the actual song.
And I guess a general hug isn't bad...just that where I work, I deal with a couple of pseudo politicians who tend to move in way too close during conversations! I've threatened to carry a nice 30" dowel peg to gently coax them out of my "No-Fly Zone"!
A boy just needs his space.........

Since engine longivity is a consideration, Sig 20 works fine for me. For what I paid for my TD .010 recently I expect it to last longer than I do.

To me WORK is just another four-letter obscene word so I have time to search out bargains wherever I may find them. Gives a "bloke" something to do in retirement, eh?

Re: Cox .010 appreciation thread
Actually, I'm pretty lucky. Other than the occasional blip, I really enjoy my job of fueling planes and generally being around them.
I took a separation package from my REAL job (factory) back in '03, and thought I'd bum around for at least a year before getting some part-time deal to help my profit sharing along. In a couple of weeks, I was bouncing off the walls...didn't feel like messing with my planes or the other stuff I love. Got a part-time time fueling planes...ended up going full time and am having a blast...not to mention the supplement to my toy purchases.
Just got to deal with bloated egos once in a while, and even that can be fun !

Well, could be...I just figured the little guys needed it, and almost always ran it pretty rich when flying it on the Blunderbus.

And the same with me. No stress for anything or anyone. Why crowd the "envelope"?

Re: Cox .010 appreciation thread
I have a kit for a Larry Scarinzi "Queen Bee", which is a little bipe designed for a Pee Wee .020 but apparently is just as good with a Tee Dee .010 on 10' lines. I have been meaning to build it but haven't got around to it yet. Anyone seen one?
I just added some plans and pics to the Gallery... >>here<<

Hey! RknRusty
Yes, got several of this plane and will post a couple in my album. A friend of mine is part owner in another PT, and is the mechanic for the group of owners. He's rapidly becoming "Mr. Ranger Engine" for his maintenance and overhaul skills with these old powerplants.
The one in the photo was brought up to our airport by it's owner, so that John could pull the engine for some major work. I've actually had the extreme honor of piloting John's PT from the front seat...It's a big, slow, friendly, airplane !

Warren !
I've got parts cut out for one of those ! MAN ! The plans were full-page in one of my old magazines, and intend to finish the little dog..but...I GOT to stay focused...getting so scattered, I won't get anything built. Had no idea that there was a kit for this "Queen Bee".
