I was thinking about that. I like how it flies, and the "real" airfoil.
Re: TeeDee .049
You could build a Whetstone II (I believe it is II). I currently have my friends in front of me. It flies nice and there is very little to it. Four "real" ribs. Several "false" ribs.
You could also try a Baby Ringmaster. I built one and love it. I am going to build another onc once I get my Tee Dee going and have it fed on pressure.

Re: TeeDee .049
That is the idea. I hope to have it go wherever the heck I point it. I figured if it really was too much I would use an exhaust collector and if necessary 15% Fuel. I may just go at it full speed. I like fast planes!

There is a Baby Ringmaster kit with a beam mount from Brodak. I also just realized the plane I spoke of earlier is actually the GollyGeeWhiz. Very simple.

The Brodak kit is sold out and it will be months before it is back in stock. It is worth doing a scratch build as the plane flies so well. I'd be glad to help out as I scratched mine. Rolla did too.
There is another option....... Join the Brotherhood of the Ring. There is a fellow on there named Pat King ( PATDK@aol.com ) he makes custom Ringmasters from .010 size all the way up to .35 size and even Bipes too. Prices are really affordable.
If you want to get an idea on the speed check out my maiden video's. That was with a healthy Babe Bee on the nose. My next flight will be with a BW.

That looks like a KK needle valve on yours. As of right now, my opinion is the Baby Streak is the finest plane ever built for a Tee Dee. Big surprise, right? It won't agree with your built-on tank though.microflitedude wrote:Been itching to fly it.
I wonder what a good CL model would be...

Re: TeeDee .049
That red tank appears to be a Cox FF tank and is not good for CL because the pickup is on the lower right corner (looking from behind it). I have one out in the shop somewhere with one cracked mounting lug.
All Tee Dees are good! That KK needle makes it good for a bladder or other pressure tank which gives extra performance.
Enjoy it!

there are also "other" baby ringmaster plans out there which have the beam mount shown on the plan. if you need help please PM me. 17inch, 21inch, or 24inch. you will have to scale and cut and paste. happydad

I wouldn't put that on anything under 24" wingspan or it will spin you like a top. Ask Rusty about that.

I have a Tee Dee .051 that pulls a 36" stork no problem. I also have beam mount 'lil Satan to build. The thought of a Tee Dee on that plane scares me a little. 52 foot lines anyone?lousyflyer wrote:I wouldn't put that on anything under 24" wingspan or it will spin you like a top. re: ringmaster plans
the best one is from another cef member and is tiled so different parts of the page are separate. other plans work off of that plan and have larger or smaller wingspan, 17inch for cox .010 ?? thru 24inch for TD .049. i also have the build pictures from the forum cribbs74 posted for the version he built. happydadGodsey3.0 wrote:I would be interesting in those Ringmaster plans. Re: TeeDee .049
I actually built a Ringmaster from the same plans as Cribbs. I built mine sometime before him. I maidened with a Babe Bee and moved up to a Killer Bee block on a Black Widow tank. Flies very nice. I may try the RR-1. A 24" wing one would be fun.
Happydad: I sent you a pm regarding plans.

Sounds like a good combination, Godsey. How are your flying skills coming along? I wish you'd catch some of your adventures on video.Godsey3.0 wrote:I actually built a Ringmaster from the same plans as Cribbs. I built mine sometime before him. Re: TeeDee .049
Hey Rusty,
They are coming pretty good. I have a nice video of me flying my 1/2a Skyray. It had a Black Widow on a Killer Bee backplate with pressure (some time ago I did this). It was when I first tried inverted. My figure eights look a little off still. I need to make the loops smaller in them. Outsides while inverted are no problem. I have yet to do and outside loop while flying normally. Other stunts come with ease. I like to equip some of my planes with massive throws to force me to manage how much I use and make the stunt look nice. I do not do this on all of my planes. I was hoping to build another Ringmaster and just bash it around. Save the one I have because I love the way it looks.

have you thought of rusty's idea of building a slightly larger version of the baby ring master like 26inch or so? it would be interesting to hear about the difference between the 21inch version like sterlings and maybe a hybrid like a 26inch. my two cents.
