Re: This is nuts
I don't think so, I wear wrinkled cargos and motor oil. I do take a shower every day other than the occasional Saturday or Sunday. But then I'm not hammered tightly into a square peg hole.

RknRusty wrote:I snipe every time I bid at eBay. I can't think of a better way to do it. I can't see posting a bid only to cause another bidder to top it. I show up with 10 seconds left and if it's still below my limit, I post my limit. I win more than I lose, but I don't use eBay all that frequently.
Same for me, with a couple minor tweeks. If I find something I'd want (i.e. cheap) that has sat for a day or two w/out bids, I'll throw a couple bucks at it, in case no one else bids and I'm not connected when the auction closes. Sort of 'marking it' like a boy dog.
I also like to 'assemble' stuff, where the separate parts go cheap. Like a transmitter and receiver from different sellers that happened to be on the same FM channel. I'd like to put together a spark motor, O&R maybe because they are so common, from a frozen motor with a good timer and parts motor with good compression. I got time.
That said, ebay is more often than not a spectator sport for me.
