USPS - strange logistics, or tracking went nuts?
I buy my COX engines mostly on eBay and they ship by USPS.. I bought an 049 and 090 TeeDee in a combined deal some 2 weeks ago (placed the order on Sept 18 or so), with tracking service provided...I just noted the package arrived from Maryland US in Budapest Hungary (my place) on Sept 26, then for some unknown reason it returned to New York within 2 days, and today it is in Cologne Germany again ...I could not find any logical explanation for this strange shipping route, and will not be surprised if the package continues its way from Germany to Vietnam or Burkina Faso before returning to its destination Hungary again...or maybe the USPS tracking system went nuts?

One of my ebay engines went from the US to Poland three times (according to tracking) before finally flying off the map for a couple of weeks and eventually landing is Australia unannounced. Poland? How can they make a mistake like that? We're not even in the same hemisphere. The address on the package was perfect, spelled correctly, with all the correct details for an easy trip down under. Someone in the system obviously didn't do so well at school in Geography.

I regularly see packages recirculated around between two relatively close Ohio locations. It is amusing, sorta, as there will be 6 or more trips, each taking half a day, between the two sites, yet after the package arrives the tracking does not reflect but one trip between the sites!
Fun and games I tell you.
