STUKA bomb dimentions needed
I bought a Stuka today, seems to have everything but bomb and a broken antenna, i found a post and member @Kim has uploaded couple of photos with a bomb next to a ruller but can someone with a bomb and a caliper measure the exact dimensions please? (prefer mm but inches will be fine also) I want to designed it and 3D printed. Afterwards the digital file will be uploaded for free of course at thinginverse for others to use.
PS: How did the bomb release mechanism works?
Forgot to put on drawing, total bomb length needed also

Hey Thomas,
I'm on the road right now, but if no one posts before I get home, I'll try to get you the #'s you need tomorrow.

Hey Thomas,
Here we go. I'm leaving everything on the table in case I missed something and you need a follow-up.
There is a tab on the left side of the bomb's release fin that tapers to flat toward the rear...its position and measurements are included. The release mechanism on the Stuka is basically a tab that flexes as it's pulled inboard by the third string, releasing the bomb. There is also a small platform in front of the release fin to match the contact of the band behind the fin...its numbers are included.
Let me know if I can get you any more info!

Nice job.
I know nothing about 3D printer. Can you tell us how much it cost to you to make this bomb ?
Printer + plastic wires may cost lots of money

Re: STUKA bomb dimentions needed
A 3D printer like this cost around 250$ The filament cost is around 20$/kilo so cost of this bomb depends of its weight say 20-25 cents. The last years 3D printer is one of my basic tools in modelling and not only. I am printing servo mounts engine mounts and even fuel tanks, wheels, horns and almost anything you can imagine.
