The Breezy Hill / EAA Chapter 1635's "Build and Fly Project"
Thought I'd post this note about some cool going's on with the Flyers:
--------------------------------------------------------------
"The Breezy Hill Flyers continue their support of the Southeast Missouri Highlands EAA Chapter 1635's "Build and Fly Program" for aspiring young pilots.
The project involves youngsters participating in the building of a Radio Control Trainer, a Sig "Kadet", and ultimately flying the miniature aircraft at Breezy Hill.
Billy, Leo, and Steven were on hand yesterday (Saturday, April 29th), with two future pilots--Nell & Jack---in attendance. The youngsters are encouraged to participate in as much of the build as possible, with a lot of explanations / instructions of what's going on.
Steven was running the simulator, with Jack and Nell getting quite a bit of flying time. Steven also brought his propeller balancing fixture to use on the Kadet's prop. He instructed the pilots on the importance of a prop's good balance to prevent excessive vibration and wear on the plane's systems, and had the trainer's propeller trued-up and ready to use.
Billy and Leo were doing some of the last construction work, installing the Kadet's landing gear, setting up its radio, and adding some beautiful trim and graphics.
Speaking of graphics, a BIG THANK YOU to Jon Jones for the beautiful design he created! He brought two decals that now adorn the fin of the plane, AND sent me some image files that will be used on others!!!!
So, the Big Day draws closer, and there will be notices here as to when it will be!"

Great!
EAA 932 built several Flitest Tutors this winter. I think 7 or 9 students completed models. Chain O Lakes Eagles will be hosting training flights this month.

They have a very nice program for children, experiences they will remember for a life time, plus developing skills they will use later in life. Thanks for sharing Kim!
