Roy Cox Thimble Drome Champion/Cameron tether car. Happy with this one X2
Goodness. 21 bids ending at 3am. Made my usual one-time proxy bid and went to bed thinking no more about it. Got up this morning and found I had won them for $427. Cheap if you follow these.
Seller, 70 years old got them "from a family member and knows nothing about them", thinks he's old at 70 and still has a land-line blah, blah, blah. I had contacted him about the engine and it's missing needle.
Finally gives me a Cameron engine that I can tear into.
The restored one I just got is nice, well constructed and heavy as a rock, but it's just a looker. The FedEx .045 is supposed to be delivered today.

Yeah, thought of that. I'm running out of places to stuff stuff.
But, your's/ours tri-motors are not going anyplace. I'm blown away by these things always updating them. Can't have mis-matched spinners.
I would need two more Texaco engines to really match them up. Edit add: ebay magic. Make that none, found two one from Julian NC.........hmm
Got the SIG balsa to make a flyable version, but have the new P-38 and the Brodak Wildcat ahead of them.

I like odd hour ending, less snipers. The .09 was a lapped piston, no cylinder liner. The .15 had a cylinder liner and smaller head. The .19 has cylinder liner and larger head.
I think this is the needle from Mecoa on eBay but don't have one to be sure.

Thanks David.
And CB I bought one referanced from a prior thread of your's.
I know nothing about these, but I think this one is an .09? I have heard about a .19 (.119?). Hadn't heard about the .15. Not much about these on the internet. Oval piston? Ringed piston? I looked here under "instructions" but found nothing about the Cameron, just the .045 which has been delayed until tomorrow.
This one I can see has slotted head bolts, restored one I have has phillips.
Yellow CB, I'm just trying to keep up with you. Seller says it's a .19, wondering how he would know.
Seller of the blue restored one says it's a .119. Curious.

Your blue #5 has a .19 head, the yellow has a different head. On .15 and .19 you can look in exhaust port and see the slotted liner.
The .09 you can see no slotted liner.

Thanks CB.
That Cameron engine must have a long stroke. That's the smallest .19 head that I have seen.
Pictured next to an Enya .15.
