Thimble Drome Champion
Hi,
Since I'm not a member (yet. . .) I wasn't able to reply on the "what is this" thread.
But, this message is for Warrenlead:
There was an intermediary between Roy Cox and the Cameron Bros. Nevertheless, Roy approached them, not the other way around. Furthermore, Cox already had two running prototypes before contacting Cameron, but with little success.
Also, you wrote, "The first fully designed Cox engine was the Space Bug which came along in 1952 and nearly sent Roy Cox and his partner Mark Mica broke but instead it was a huge success and destroyed the competition. The rest is history."
This is untrue. Cox had government contracts which kept them, not strong, but strong enough to venture into their own engine /RTF development. Because you wrote "Mark Mica," I am rightly assuming you got the information from, "Cox Model Engine Handbook." Roy's partner was Mark Mier. A true gent. I knew Mark for some eight years before he passed away. Here's a quote for your site, "Were it not for Mark Mier, no one ever would have heard of Roy Cox."
Anyway, the rest is original research that I would like to keep private. I just wanted to pass on some general information.

There is so much going on at the moment I missed this message....
Ok I'll bite, Why do you say that? When did Mark Mier come into and when did he leave?
