Imagine spending months building a lovely vintage model and then putting THAT on the front!
I vote for this one.
Is that the fuel tank with that atrophied black line. I think it needs a bypass. or at least a couple of stints.
The slipstream off the fins might help keep the fuel warm....

Re: Ugliest Model Engines?
I thought denser cold fuel developed more power than hot fuel. I know it's true for gasoline automobile engines. I ran the fuel line on my race car through a 6' aluminum tube coiled up in a can filled with dry ice, then straight out to the carburetor.

Probably...I was still in the "Winter Mode" of thinking, despite the mild temps this week....

That is so ugly it's almost attractive! There are some real beauties in those photos though!
I was going to add the Soviet K-7, which is also in that list, though a different model, try this!

I couldn't lift a photo of this one, but it's somewhat freakish. Bidding starts at $1,500.

Oh I don't know, I've seen worse, it's those exhaust stacks that make it look worse!

I believe that it did, there are photos of it in flight, although of course at that period in Soviet history you really can't trust a lot of the photos which were published.
