Take your time and be mindful...some old stuff is junk and some old stuff can make you rich
New CEF members need some time and post count before pictures can be posted... so as you describe and ask questions start photographing the engines
This forum is probably the best and easiest up load method...
Save the image to your computer...any where-- does not matter...I use my desktop
AT top of a post there is an Icon for "Host and Image"
Click on it
Drag and drop your image to the area then click "Send All"
Wait for it to load
Copy the middle URL
Paste that URL into your post

I understand what you’re saying but I don’t care if it’s junk or if it makes me rich the collection was given to me and I’m just trying to find out what I have . I love history . And I appreciate A part of my past, So I want try to post pic’s if that is your rifle. As I stated I have over 50 small motors . From all over the world. My biggest one being what I call a five jug / head motor . 3-4 run on Diesel fuel . 2-3 on gas. The smallest one in a a box measuring no bigger then 1 inch by one inch.. I have two with a glass Fule bowl . I even have a jet power unit 350. And maybe ten Cox’s . I just stop in for a little history lesson . No disrespect to anyone .

R Watson, welcome to the forum! Regarding your questions,
Try Sceptre Flight Model Engine Tests Index
The site has many magazine engine articles to include diesels.
Here's the Model Airplane News May 1953 article on your Space Bug:
Sceptre Flight Model Engine Tests, Cox Spacebug
Here's the instructions for your Spacebug:
mh-aerotools.de Cox Spacebug Jr Instructions (PDF)
You'll find information on Cox engines under the heading Cox Engines in mh-aerotools.de Aerodynamics of Model Aircraft Index. Space Bug is shown under heading, Early Engines.
Also another site to try is Ron's Model Engineering and Model IC Engines Index
Ron has history on some that are aren't available elsewhere. Under heading, Engines you'll find his search engine and look up list.
You can search this forum for Coxes and other engines, too. And, we are always interested in engines that you may have that others don't, we all enjoy learning about those.
And of course, if you post a few photos will help perk our interests and help answer any questions you may have, too.
Posting photos here isn't hard, but may be a little different than in other forums. If you have difficulty, let us know and we'll point you in the right direction.

What are you wanting to know exactly?
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact year of manufacture, but subtle variations can help you get pretty close.
I am assuming at this point you know what they are?

I fly Rc and have a few planes & boats. I grew up knowing the Cox’s name but that’s about it.Thanks a lot everyone y’all been a big help. I believe those to be the only Cox motors I have so I’ll post the rest in the correct places .. I have so many of different brands different classes still in the box with original tools instruction warranties and never been used to be that old and for them to be in that good of shape I’m impressed .

Great. I will be eager to see the little jewel nestled just to the right of the Space Hopper in an above picture.
