COX 09 .. That plug (brand specification) Should be used?
I am grateful to report on the spark plugs.
In the picture I show original COX plug in the engine 09 and there is a cap COX original cylinder.
The spark plug is placed - cylinder cap installed Cox is brand OS. my question is; which is the spark plug should be used in said cylinder head to match the original spark plug COX ?????
Data:
Cox ............................... original spark plug: 15190 RPM.
Original cylinder cover and plug OS ...: RPM 14000/14100
Thanks !, Mauricio.

Re: COX 09 .. That plug (brand specification) Should be used?
Cox made a regular plug for the Queen Bee and the TD .09RC, only problem is that this gives a rather large power loss compared to the regular heads. I have the order number for that plug somewhere, but it is nothing special (as far as I know) just a long reach hot plug.
The only way to avoid this power loss is to use the regular TD head, or a special head that uses Nelson or "Turbo" plugs. The Turbo plug heads used to pop up on ebay some time ago, haven't checked lately.
On the Queen Bee a conversion head with a hot Turbo plug (OS P4) worked well for me.

Thank you very much for answering!
You said that in your engine with spark plug O.S. P4, has noticed that works well ?!
You liken between Cox Original spark plug and cylinder head plus the original Cox plug O.S.P4 the difference in RPM ??
COX Queen Bee
Detail:
Original Cox ................................................ ... RPM ???
Original top plug cylinder + O.S. RPM P4 ...... ????
thanks!, Mauricio

hello, buy OS P4 plug, but to my surprise the thread is different from the one that brings the cylinder head, could you tell me as you have done in your engine to use ???

Re: COX 09 .. That plug (brand specification) Should be used?
You bough a turbo plug it will not work with your adapter you need a No.7 or No,8 or R5
I can recommend this head adapter as I own one see pics.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Charlies-Glow-Head-Adapter-for-Cox-09-Medallion-Engine-RC-FF-CL-airplane/131752000477?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140602152332%26meid%3Da710dfaf26b84222adedf3497d7b67ce%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D371560463337
Also if you are going to post rpm readings please let us know what brand prop and size it was or
your readings mean nothing.
TD .09 Example of Useful Data with the Valentine Turbo Plug Adapter:
APC 6.3x4 Combat Prop / 20% Nitro / 16,300 / .19 hp / 142w / 24oz thrust / 109.6g with prop/spinner.
-Tatone EM-9 Muffler
-High performance crank
-Tarno RC Carb
-Aluminum Carb Body
Note engine in the middle with the Tatone muffler has a Valentines Turbo Head you will see notch
for the cox wrench is smaller. The turbo plug gives very good compression.
Note the Cox High Compression Head has the ring of notches and is not a standard glow plug.
Note that Cox engines do not use spark plugs they use glow plugs.
The Medallion has a Charlie's Head Adapter for reference to the ebay link. I have them for .049, .09 and on one of my TD .15 nicely made adapter.
I can recommend this head adapter as I own one see pics.

Hello, thanks for answering. I try to explain then:
Cox 09 engine + glow plug Original + propeller Cox 7 x 3.5 + Fuel castor oil 18% - 25% nitro - methanol rest = 15190 RPM
Cox 09 engine + glow head adapter original + glow plug OS nro. 8 + propeller Cox 7 x 3.5 + Fuel castor oil 18% - 25% nitro - methanol rest = 14000/14100 RPM.

I repeat the details here:
Cox 09 engine + glow plug Original + propeller Cox 7 x 3.5 + Fuel castor oil 18% - 25% nitro - methanol rest = 15190 RPM
Cox 09 engine + glow head adapter original + glow plug OS nro. 8 + propeller Cox 7 x 3.5 + Fuel castor oil 18% - 25% nitro - methanol rest = 14000/14100 RPM.

I own these plugs, which you recommend that I would be the most appropriate?

I am using the spark plug I show you the caliber, I do not know the brand, does not have any number, it may be of the K & B brand, this plug works well, you can identify or know?

Yes !!, BINGO !, then Cox is a spark plug, is why I showed that in photography, I commented that high performance noticed !. The spark that I've had, so far this is the best!
I think I will not be able to get them because there are products that do not come to my country, try to see how to get them!
If not get the spark Cox 074/09, then I'll have to settle some equivalent to enjoy the engine, even if you lose some power.
Thank you very very much!....Mauricio.-

Thank you very much, I'm going to get in touch with the house sold in the United States. There are some obstacles in my country for the entry of some products, they are often held in customs. Of all forms'll see if I can do something.
It is a pleasure to contact you so that has given me good information, thanks!..Mauricio.-

Hi guys, I have here made a test using the plug K & B 4530, although observed losses compared laps with Cox spark plug, for what the flight, does not affect engine performance and flight.
Greetings, Mauricio.
