Are you building one? The Remington is very nice! I was going to buy an R-1 enhanced until I got a deal on an American assembled Taurus PT-1911 SS1 that I just couldn't walk away from. I still want the Remington, though.

The post is fine where it's at. Hope it sells for you. The Redneck forum is the only other place I can think of where this sale would be more noticed.
I can move it if you wish.

Re: !911 parts
I'd like to build one but I'm not there yet, I'm still learning about John Brownings design. I too have a used Taurus 1911 that I found in a pawn shop about 6 months ago, took it home and tore it down and I was hooked. After some parts replacement and a few trips to the range I got it reliable for 200 rounds, shoots great now but it took some work. I think the Taurus is a good pistol, it has many features found on 2K dollar pistols. Dang if the same pawn shop didn't have a used Remington R1 in my last visit that followed me home. The Remington is very nice and has a better trigger.
I got parts for the Remington to refurbish it but turned out I didn't need the slide.

Re: !911 parts
I have two favorite hand guns in my smallish collection
My wife has a friend with a Judge, a small frame 5 shot revolver that eats 45 Colt and 410 shot shells ( long cylinder)
I bought her the ultra lite version (her desire) fearing that the 45 colt would buck like a mule and be very uncomfortable to learn to shoot well
First time at the range I insisted on firing it before her and was astounded that it is designed and balanced perfectly for the heavy ammo with a very comfortable rubber shock absorbing grip...She proceeded to out shoot me with it against my CZ 75 9mm ( the pistol I am best with)
While buying the Judge at the Post Exchange (great tax free price) they had just got in the new (then ) Taurus PT 1911 and the display described all the "enhancements". I never owned a 1911 or any other 45 auto. Taurus PT price was 1/3 of all the other brand 1911s on display some ranging to $3000+
The PT 1911 came home with me, and at the range I put away the CZ 75. I offered my wife to fire first rounds with it... she liked it and after the jittery first round the rest of the clip were where she aimed them...MY turn..same, wild first round --then the rest of the clip was exactly where aimed
Fortunately I re-load so our monthly range day does not cost that much now but all these favorite cost a lot to frequently fire if useing store bought ammo
This topic as evidenced by my post may get further hijacked as we talk about guns and should probably be in the more restricted redneck zone

Re: !911 parts
Wow! I'm surprised that eBay would let that auction stand. I'm a Ruger fanboy, so I have a P-91 in .45ACP. But, I figured I'm not a real shooter unless I have some form of 1911. I grabbed a TISAS 1911 last year when they were on sale at Bud's, and really like it. It's rock solid and everything fits smooth and tight. Nothing special, just a Plain Jane mil-spec 1911 like Alvin York would have shot...

Re: !911 parts
eBay is getting more restrictive all the time, you can sell gun parts but nothing like a serial numbered frame, that constitutes a firearm.
They just restricted mags to 10 or less. I'm surprised PayPal lets it ride because they won't let you use their service for firearms outside eBay.
