It's worth a buck..
Hanging by it's lead-outs above the clothes dryer. Can you tell what model it is?
It's silk and dope covered wing gets an added measure of safety from being poked.
My uncle gave me this airplane last Summer.. but he kept the ST .35 that was on it when he was flying it back in the 70's while stationed at Holloman AFB in New Mexico. He's given me many partially-built CL models over the years too. Most are 60's-70's vintage kits. They're hanging everywhere around here. It's amazing they've survived 3 moves of my own.. without any major damage. There's at least 6 open-frame wings hanging from the ceiling in my workshop. An S1 Ring, S5 Ring, Jr. Flite Streak, Voo Doo, S2 Mustang and one of my own 1/2A hybrid balsa I-beam spar/foam-rib designs. The kit wings I have all the parts for.. except the Voo Doo, but Lieven helped me out with a template-set/mat'l. specs for the tail-booms, stab and engine-bearers/nacelles.. as well as an improvement addendum sheet for better performance. Incidentally.. the Voo Doo is of the same class/approx. vintage as this topic's subject..

It's not a Thunderbird.. but it is a Veco model. Hint: There's a Styx song by the same name.. circa 1978
Re: It's worth a buck..
I have a Renegade kit here waiting to be built. Everytime I open the box I close it due to having too many parts. That was a lot of sticks for an expendable combat plane. That was quite common in that era. My first thoughts were a Combat Streak but the rounded elevator was incorrect. Ken

I can't believe you guys thought that was a T-bird. It looks nothing like one...

Re: It's worth a buck..
I used the pic's file name in a search and all I came up with were Tbirds. Not like I used my brain or anything, but it was my best guess.
