WE HAVE A WINNER! Congratulations to stuntflyr and his "Leo Squires ball bearing Cox .049"!
There was a lot of great pictures this month but I've got to say that this engine deserved to be Cox Engine of the Month, that is one NICE looking engine!
I'll get the picture up shortly and will get the drawing put together here in the next few days.

Yes, lots of nice engines and good pics again.
But as Yoda would say, "badassedness is strong with this one, hmmm"
Congrats to the winner.

No Contest, that engine was always going to win. It looks like a hundred miles an hour just sitting there
Well done stuntflyr

I totally agree! Taking body piercing to a whole new level, and looking artistic at the same time. Well deserved win.

Re: **VOTE-ON-THE-NEXT-COX-ENGINE-OF-THE-MONTH** (June 2015)
Thank you all, distinguished gentleman.
ALL of the compliments should go to Leo, a fine craftsman in not only the engine itself but as well as his graphic arts and photographic abilities since all I did was post a picture of the engine Leo had sent to me. Leo made this engine for the 2009 Tach Race. He sent it to me as a present, and did his usual beautiful job of modifying, finishing, bench testing of the engine (though it didn't turn up as we thought it should and I think it was overcompressed in hind site so he withdrew it from competition), but his packaging, his labeling, his art work, all make for his engines being my special favorites of my small engine "collection".
Thanks to Leo Squires, we're due for another lunch at the Grand Hyatt DFW sir!

The art of an engine
Congrats on the win! It's great to see something I consider as art win! I love to tinker and try out new ideas on these little gems. Makes the wheels in my head start to turn. My ball raced unlimited didn't do well at the last tach race but I am still proud of it! Now if only I can only learn to tune those little beasts!

That is a very interesting engine. The reduced cooling fins and radiused exhaust port edges are real eye catchers. Is there a thread that details all the mods and performance expectations?

Not that I know of, Rusty. He sold a lot of custom stuff including cars and boats down to 020 sized so I'm hoping he'll chime in here sometime soon. I don't know if he's building much lately. The last he did for me was my K&Bee duo of rear venturi Speed engine on my old 1/2A mag pan with Froom spinner and K&Bee K&B/Cox reed hybrid engines.
Chris...
P.S. Here is one of my K&Bee engines with a Cox reed with venturi by Leo and another of his creations, a custom to order tether car in which he sent me pictures...

Thats what I like to hear, keep working on it,I'm still learning, and always will be,out of a company that employs 350 people I have yet to find one person that knows what a COX engine is.ratcoxaddict wrote: Congrats on the win!
