TD 049 crank mod

TD 049 crank mod
I have a TD 049 that has the crankshaft modified. It is made to look like a HD crank but looks to just be a standard crank ground down on each side. Was this a common mod or just someone experimenting?

Re: TD 049 crank mod
Looks like you may have the helicopter crank but there is one difference, the crankpin isn't drilled on yours. That shaft may be from a Jerobee Cox TD .049 car engine. Then again it could have been a home mod, a real good home mod.
Re: TD 049 crank mod
Most likely a home mod then. The crank web is not as thick as the helicoper crank on the right.

NO his also has counter ballancing as well as the side cuts so this was probably just an experiment.
