twinkle lights.. stop the madness!!
and "arm" yourself!! I had to post this.. because of the "Clarke W. Griswold" in me. I don't like it.. when my lights don't work.. so this is a "courtesy-thread" to help you to be prepared.. if not for next year anyway... (I still have illumination duties this coming week on Cape Cod.. where we'll be spending our Christmas holiday)
2.5V lamps are for UL 50, 100 & 150-count light sets
3.5V lamps are for UL 35, 70 and 140-count light sets
12V clear lamps are for UL 10, 11 & 12-count tree-tops/angels
3A fuses fit most of the fuse/plugs that I have. A slightly larger/longer 5A fuse is also available.
Don't get frustrated and throw out those broken light sets... Take it from me "Roddie"... it's much more fun to tear your hair out trying to make them work!!! where's my continuity tester???
PS... If you're missing a lamp "base" and have no spares.. "good luck"... they're as different as glow-heads..

Re: twinkle lights.. stop the madness!!
lol! My wife interrogated me about a particular box of junk lights last year. I did acquiesces some and recycled the wires, but kept the lights and bases. instead of a bushel basket of junk it is half a coffee can!
