"Engine Run Thursday"
Good News: Front Moves Through----Temperature/Humidity drops dramatically !
Bad News: Classic Frontal-Passage Backside Effects----Wind From ALL Quadrants!
SO....Out comes the E-Z-Just Test Stand!
My buddy Vince is going through some of his Dad's control line gear, which has been stored in his basement for a while. His dad is still up and kicking, and so, Vince is gonna help him get some planes going, starting with some engine running.
Today, he brought out a fairly ancient VECO .35, that has spent a few decades in the back of a shelf. A little oil, a few flips, fuel and fire, and off the old dinosaur went ! Not really that surprising, these old dogs will sit a long time and wait for attention.
He also had a much newer---but still pretty old---O.S. .35 that ran a lot better when I ran some tubing and pressurized the little beast.
