OK...when you've got your diesel running and tuned to it's best setting, just how much residual fuel/oil will be coming out of the thing? I had somehow gotten the impression that they dumped a lot less goop on the airframe.

I guess the question sort of answers it's self since Doctor Diesel's fuel formula shows 25% castor. Is this the norm for diesels across all engines/fuel mixtures ?

Well they dump more than nitro for sure!!!
but thats because they have more oil in the fuel and i have run up to 35% castor oil in mine.
At 25% it shouldn't dump that much more than a good 1/2a fuel.
Are you still running the Davis fuel or have you moved on to Cluttons yet?
I don't know how much oil his has so i guess about 28% but your guess is as good as mine on this one.
I use 18% castor and it is more messy than glow for sure but hey a good coat of 60 min epoxy and it good.

OK...roger on the slobber. I'll live with it.

I'm still on the Davis stuff. Intend to order some from Mr. Clutton this coming week.

Got to manage the funds a little bit...I've been spending money like I was on Welfare !!!

Yeah i know it,
If you want to know how much castor is in your fuel you could always measure out some fuel then leave it out for a while and see what % is left that would give a rough idea.

What about adding ether to bring older fuel back up a bit? Practical?...or too hard to figure the amount vrs what's already in there?

Not really practical unless you know what the volume should be with ethewr and what it is without it but in theory it's possible.
